Welcome
to Braythorne Barn, Bed & Breakfast in Harrogate,North Yorkshire
We
converted Braythorne Barn a few
years ago, after we had lived in the adjoining farmhouse for twenty
years.
Our bed and breakfast, based near Harrogate has long distance
views to the south west, looking down Lower Wharfedale - and the
sunsets are amazing!
The other Yorkshire Dales are within an easy drive from here.
Although it is only five miles south of Harrogate and fifteen
miles north of Leeds, it lies in peaceful sheep farming countryside,
which is so quiet, only the garden birds (of which we have an
abundance), curlews, lapwings plus the owls and foxes at night
can be heard. There are badgers and deer in the fields, also a
number of Red Kites which sometimes fly over the house. The canopy
of stars seen on a clear night is spectacular.
The house providing bed and breakfast accommodation has a varied
garden. At the back it consists of mainly shrubs and blossom trees,
with a flagged terrace facing south west down the valley where
breakfast can be taken on warm summer mornings, and to the east
of the house a walled garden with herbaceous planting. There is
also a lawned area with lots of flowering shrubs and a pergola
covered with honeysuckle, clematis and rambling roses. In each
of these, there is a place to sit, relax and enjoy the countryside
and garden whilst listening to the bird song.
We like guests to feel at home when staying with us at our bed
and breakfast and so if you have any queries, or would like to
book our guest bedroom, please telephone 0113 2843160 or e-mail
us.
